A unique experience ..........!!                                   FAQ

The Eurolingua Institute offers 2 weeks French tuition followed by 2 to 3 weeks volunteer work in France.

The programme consits in 15 hours group tuition (or 5 individual hours tuition) per week at Eurolingua Institute in Montpellier with half-board accommodation in a French family. After 2 weeks, you will join an international workcamp in France.

A workcamp, what is it ?
In a workcamp, young people from across the world will spend 2 or 3 weeks together as volunteers. During this time, the group of international volunteers will work closely with local organisations on a project of benefit to the local community. All projects are socially relevant - for example, improving existing hiking paths or laying new paths, cleanup of nature reserves, renovation work on an education centre, construction work on a youth centre, assisting in the planning, organisation and holding of cultural events, etc. Depending on project size, 5 to 20 volunteers will form a group which will work and live together for the duration of the workcamp.
For most projects volunteers between 18 and 30 years old are accepted. Food and accommodation are provided for the volunteers. Accommodation is usually simple - a tent, a scout centre, perhaps a barn on a farm. You will get your meals - or in some cases funds for which to buy food - at your work place and/or at the place where you will be staying. Volunteers are responsible for their own cleaning and chores. Besides work there is plenty of time for other activities. Free time can be used to pursue group interests (for example local trips, sports or games evenings). Of course, there is also time just to relax. Most workcamps are running in summer (between June and September). There is a number of off-season workcamps in spring and late autumn available. And a few projects even run in winter.

Important!
Taking part in a workcamp for young international volunteers is a voluntary act, a choice to work without pay on a project of general interest.
