	BANHAM, Norfolk: a detached five bedroom house in 1.5 hectares of gardens. Our house is not on a bus route but we offer a taxi service to local train stations which will take you to London, Norwich and Cambridge. We spend lots of time with our students and offer visits or activities almost every day. Cambridge with its famous university is close and the historic city of Norwich is just 30 minutes away. 	BEXHILL-on-SEA, East Sussex: East Sussex has a wealth of historical, cultural and beautiful places to see and we are right on the sea front - less than a couple of hours to London-Brighton and an Hour to Hastings, Battle, Rye and Eastbourne. Very close museums and theatres. We do like to be beside the seaside in quiet Bexhill. Alexandra enjoys all sorts of arts and crafts and I enjoy most sports. 	BIRMINGHAM, West Midlands: the house is located in southeast Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK, and only a 15-20 transfer from Birmingham International Airport or Birmingham International Railway station. Only 10-15 minutes walk from the house is Acocks Green shopping area where you find a variety of shops, including Sainburys, Aldi and Iceland supermarkets, chemists, banks, and many restaurants and take aways, a bowling alley and an activities centre. 	BRIGHTON, East Sussex: Description of the student's room and contents: the room is a bright and sunny single en suite room on the ground floor offering privacy and quiet. 	BRISTOL, Avon: a Victorian house with a pleasant, private back garden. The house is a 4 minute walk from the local park. Nearby are local shops, including a small Tesco store. I live within walking distance (35 minutes)of Bristol city centre which has many shops, restaurants and tourist attractions such as the harbourside. By car or bus the city centre is only 15 minutes away. Also nearby is a new local leisure centre which has gym and swimming facilities. Bristol Templemeads main line station is a 10 minute car drive. 	BRISTOL, Avon: you will be given a warm welcome to my home which is just two minutes walk from local shops and bus routes to the city centre. The house is designed in a contemporary and traditional fashion adding an unusual charm to the property. 	BURTON-on-the-WATER, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire: our home is an attractive, 15 year old 5-bedroom house built in Cotswold stone, set in a quiet, no through road just a few minutes walk from the beautiful village of Bourton on the Water. Bourton on the Water is known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds'. We have the river Windrush running through the village with lots of little bridges! 	BOURNEMOUTH, Dorset: perfectly situated in the sought after area of Queens Park, we are a two minute walk from the bus stop, which can take you to all the surrounding areas with ease. We are a three minute walk from the popular Castle Point shopping centre, with a wealth of shops and facilities. We are local to many parks and woodlands, and in particular Queens Park golf course, which is a four minute walk away. We are a ten minute drive from Bournemouth Beach and Pier, and the town centre. 	DIDCOT, Oxfordshire: we live in the south of Oxfordshire, an area of pleasant countryside dominated by the River Thames and the low hills of the Berkshire Downs. The area is rich in history and pre-historical remains such as Iron Age forts. The area is dotted with many quaint old villages and includes picturesque Thames-side towns of Abingdon, Dorchester and Wallingford. The well-preserved old university city of Oxford, only 25 km away, offers many opportunities for sightseeing, visiting museums, galleries and the old colleges as well as shopping, whereas Reading is more for the dedicated shopper. 	DUNFERMLINE (Edinburgh), Scotland: our house is located in Dunfermline, 10 miles from Edinburgh (20 minutse by bus or train) and the historical capital of Scotland. We are just 5 minutes walk from the bus station and ten from the train station, where there are regular services into the centre of Edinburgh. 	EDINBURGH, Scotland: this beautiful Victorian School was converted 20 years ago into cosy private apartments and is only 10 minutes from the heart of the city. My home is warm and welcoming. You will have your own bathroom, with shower, and there is plentiful supply of hot water. 	EDINBURGH, Scotland: there are many attractions in Edinburgh such as the Castle, Holyrood Palace, The Royal Mile along with many museums and art galleries. There are beautiful beaches and countryside on our doorstep such as East Lothian and the Borders where I could take students if they would like that. 	ELY, Cambridgeshire: Ely is a beautiful Cathedral City situated just outside Cambridge. There is an attractive riverside area with pubs and cafes from which you can arrange boat trips, and the magnificent medieval cathedral dominates the city. Nearby Cambridge is easily accessible by train, bus or car and offers visitors an opportunity to wander around the city centre admiring the 36 colleges, which comprise Cambridge University. 	EXETER, Devon: my home is a quaint, traditional end of terrace cottage, just 5 minutes walk from Exeter city centre. It is in a very quiet, "pedestrian only" area of the city, with grass and trees and park areas and within a short walking distance of shops, pubs, theatres, swimming pool, sports centre, museums, cathedral, cinemas, and walks/boat/cycling trips along the River Exe. The central bus and train stations are just 5/10 minutes walk away. 	HALIFAX (Luddenden), West Yorkshire: a beautifully converted 19th century Yorkshire stone 2 floor apartment complete with exposed beams, polished timber floors and all modern conveniences. Located in the conservation village of Luddenden, with its village pub and shop, in the heart of Pennines. It is close to Hebden Bridge, voted the 4th funkiest town in the world, with independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Great for country walks over the hills or along the canal in the Calder valley, yet 20 miles from the vibrant northern cities of Manchester and Leeds with regular bus and train links. 	ILKLEY, West Yorkshire: Bill lives with his Italian partner (no children) in a new 4-bedroomed house with a nice, friendly atmosphere situated in a quiet and safe town near the important city of Leeds in the north of England. 	ILMINSTER, Somerset: the property was built in 1820, It is a Grade 2 listed house. Being a typical large Georgian Gentleman's residence set in its own grounds with about half an acre of walled gardens which include our vegetable plot. During the year we like to grow a selection of organic vegetables for our consumption. We totaly restored the property in 2002, when we purchased it. 	LANARK (near Glasgow), Scotland: we live close to Lanark, surrounded by beautiful countryside. There is a large garden and easy access (via bus) to town centre/railway station. It is approx 45 minutes by train to Glasgow and 1.5 hours to Edinburgh by bus (although I can drive the student there in under an hour). The house itself is spacious and welcoming. 	LIVERPOOL, Merseyside: John and I work as a team to deliver an all round experience for students. Between us we can provide a fully comprehensive tailor made course for students. We both have ESOL experience and are very enthusiastic teachers, bringing creativity and variety into our teaching. I have a business background and John a more literary background. 	LONDON, Twickenham: a 4-bedroom property is located in the wealthiest borough of London called Richmond. Our actual location is a river town called Twickenham approximately 2.5 miles from Richmond town centre and a rail link away from the centre of London. Twickenham, like Richmond, is very old and is nestled snugly around the River Thames. It has an abundance of Royal history, theatre tradition and, of course, sport! Both Richmond and Twickenham are very green areas with many parks and river walks. In fact, if you like celebrity-spotting, many of the rich and famous choose to live in Richmond! 	LONDON, Peckham: located opposite the lovely Warwick Gardens, it has two bedroom available for students, a fabulous bathroom, chic kitchen, large living space and delectable garden. This house is both modern and charming. Peckham Rye mainline station is a couple of minutes on foot for fast and frequent services into the City and Victoria. Upon entry is a double reception. 	MAIDENHEAD, Berkshire: House is located halfway between Windsor and Maidenhead (about 5km either direction. There is a reliable bus service linking the 2 towns and there are convenient railway stations with regular train services to London(40 mins.), Oxford(60 mins.) and Reading(15 mins.).There are local leisure centres and swimming pools as well as local shopping in Windsor and Maidenhead. 	MIDDLEWICH, Cheshire: our four-bedroom, modern-style home with gardens and conservatory is located in a small rural town in the lovely mid-Cheshire countryside. We are near to the heritage waterways of Britain's canal network and picturesque narrowboats, and half an hour from the historic city of Chester. 	TAVISTOCK, Devon: built in 1950, the house enjoys panoramic views over Devon and Cornwall. A short walk from Dartmoor National Park (5 minutes) and 3 minutes from the market town of Tavistock (stannary town - pop. 12000 people). On bus route to Plymouth (approx 30 minutes to Plymouth).
