BANHAM, Norfolk: a detached five bedroom house in 1.5 hectares of gardens. Our house is not on a bus route but we offer a taxi service to local train stations which will take you to London, Norwich and Cambridge. We spend lots of time with our students and offer visits or activities almost every day. Cambridge with its famous university is close and the historic city of Norwich is just 30 minutes away. Very close museums and theatres. We do like to be beside the seaside in quiet Bexhill. Alexandra enjoys all sorts of arts and crafts and I enjoy most sports. BIRMINGHAM, West Midlands: the house is located in southeast Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK, and only a 15-20 transfer from Birmingham International Airport or Birmingham International Railway station. Only 10-15 minutes walk from the house is Acocks Green shopping area where you find a variety of shops, including Sainburys, Aldi and Iceland supermarkets, chemists, banks, and many restaurants and take aways, a bowling alley and an activities centre. EDINBURGH, Scotland: there are many attractions in Edinburgh such as the Castle, Holyrood Palace, The Royal Mile along with many museums and art galleries. There are beautiful beaches and countryside on our doorstep such as East Lothian and the Borders where I could take students if they would like that. ELY, Cambridgeshire: Ely is a beautiful Cathedral City situated just outside Cambridge. There is an attractive riverside area with pubs and cafes from which you can arrange boat trips, and the magnificent medieval cathedral dominates the city. Nearby Cambridge is easily accessible by train, bus or car and offers visitors an opportunity to wander around the city centre admiring the 36 colleges, which comprise Cambridge University. EXETER, Devon: my home is a quaint, traditional end of terrace cottage, just 5 minutes walk from Exeter city centre. It is in a very quiet, "pedestrian only" area of the city, with grass and trees and park areas and within a short walking distance of shops, pubs, theatres, swimming pool, sports centre, museums, cathedral, cinemas, and walks/boat/cycling trips along the River Exe. The central bus and train stations are just 5/10 minutes walk away.
