Trained Teacher Certificate (New Zealand Department of Education). Certificate of ESOL Home Tutoring New Zealand). Born in England (Marlow, Bucks) and raised in New Zealand. Moved to Australia to be near my 2 married children.

Reading, garden, astrology, grandchildren/family, walking, art/theatre

Excursions and Local Attractions
The Central Coast area has many attractions; clubs, beaches, Reptile Park (snakes etc, pat a kangaroo and koala!), historic Old Sydney Town, several small art galleries, swimming pools, sailing available near, etc. One hour by frequent rail to Sydney to see The Opera House and the many attractions of the city of the 2000 Olympics. Newcastle (1 hr North) is an attractive historic town (coal mining).

Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
I have travelled fairly extensively and now love to welcome students to my home for English tutoring. I am outgoing, enjoy people from all walks of life and countries. My family (including children, grandchildren, sister, and nieces) all enjoy welcoming my students at their homes for BBQs.

I live in an area called Central Coast, just an hour north of the much bigger city of Sydney, host of 2000 Olympics! Central Coast is a very pleasant, relaxing tourist/holiday place for many overseas visitors and Sydneysiders. My home is near Gosford (a pleasant small city), across the road from a harbour waterway, near a sailing club. Good local bus service is close and 10 minutes walk to Gosford and 15 minutes walk to the rail station. The apartment is not large but the area and closeness to all facilities plus the views across Brisbane Waters and proximity to the sailing club, make it a great location. Also, excellent for biking and walking. I have a good car, enjoy taking people to the many places of interest locally - beaches, clubs, Old Sydney Town, wildlife park, walks, shopping centres and art galleries. Sydney is very accessible for bigger art galleries and museums as well as all the other usual big city sights/pleasures. I can arrange other trips/tours. I have email facility and CD Rom English lessons.
