Teaching Qualifications and Experience
TEFL certificate - March 2007. Over the past 10 years our family have hosted secondary school international students from Japan, Indonesia, Germany, France and Sweden. I also did a small amount of volunteer tuturing recently while in Indonesia.

Hobbies and Interests
Travelling in Asia, spending time with our 3 adult children, walking and staying fit.

Excursions and Local Attractions
Warrnambool is close to the famous Great Ocean Road which is an amazing tourist destination, we also have The Grampians National Park close by (lots of wild life).

Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
The student's room is a sunny bedroom with double bed, wardrobe, chair, tallboy with mirror and small bookshelf, very peaceful and quiet. Private bathroom.

We have a large family home beside the the Hopkins river and close to the ocean, with many beautiful walking tracks close by. Our 3 children all live away from home now (although visit often) so we have lots of space including the use of private bathroom and office (unlimited internet use) Warrnambool has some fantastic swimming and surfing beaches and whales give birth to their babies in winter (they can be observed from the shore).

We have enjoyed many positive benefits from sharing our home with international students and because our daughters also studied overseas, we realise the importance of a supportive and understanding host family.

Warrnambool is located at the western end of Victoria's world famous Great Ocean Road.

Taking a leisurely drive alone the Great Ocean Road you will experience the natural beauty of the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, magnificent rain forests of the Otway Ranges and the many other natural wonders of Victoria's rugged South West Coast. Allow six hours from Melbourne to enjoy the journey.
