Teaching Qualifications and Experience
B.Ed. University of Toronto Toronto, Ontario; B.A. (French) Western University London, Ontario. TESL Certification - 1981 B. ED (French major) - 1980 B.A. (French) - 1978. As an 'au pair' in France at 20, I taught English to two children. I taught ESL to a japanese business man while I was a student at the University of Toronto. I have loved being an ESL teacher for over twenty years to immigrants from many countries, international students from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China and to francophone adults. I have taught in the public and private sectors and at both college and university. I opened up my home in Victoria to ESL students and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I know PEI is a popular place for many students and I hope to help some of them experience what the island has to offer and to welcome them into my home life.

Hobbies and Interests
I love the outdoors and usually take my dog for a walk somewhere every day. I enjoy craft fairs, beaches, parks and seeing the sites of Prince Edward Island (PEI). I have a small beaded jewellery business and I would be happy to teach you how to make necklaces, earrings, bracelets as one of our lessons together.

Excursions and Local Attractions
Touring the island with my students. I am only 15 minutes from Summerside, an hour from Charlottetown, 10 minutes from the acadian village of Abram Village and 30 minutes from the famous Anne of Green Gables tourist site in Cavendish. Prince Edward Island's beaches are never more than 10 minutes away.

Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
If you want the country life then you will love my home. I live in a lovely, cosy 150 year old farmhouse.The interior is pine with a propane fireplace in the livingroom. The house is on an 80 acre parcel of land, two of those acres are mine. It's a very peaceful setting so it would not be suited to someone who wants and needs the sounds and pace of fast city life. There is only my daughter, myself and our dog living in this five-bedroom home. All of the bedrooms are small, but very well decorated and comfortable. Both my daughter and I want you to feel like part of our family while you stay with us.
