Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
USA-NY1(house2)Pan175.jpgPort Washington is a beautiful, safe, seaside town on Long Island’s north shore, in the historic 'Gold Coast' area. Our home is a 10-minute walk to the train station, just a 40-minute ride to NYC. You can walk also walk to the water, cinema, shops, tennis, and an excellent library. You’ll have fast, free internet, cable tv (with optional English subtitles), and a rare opportunity to observe the challenges and amusements of a typical busy American family with 2 school-aged children (and their interesting pets). David also works as a photographer and Jennifer works part-time as a pianist for dance classes at 2 universities. We have a large backyard (garden) where lessons and meals can be had as the weather permits. Whatever your profession or interests, let us introduce you to our friends and acquaintances who can give you a taste of what it’s like here. We look forward to showing you the 'real' New York and its people!
