I have also attended a Tourist’ Guide course and I take students where ever they want on Malta and Gozo: historical, recreational, sports and the rest.

Many locations are available in towns, villages, near the sea, tourists areas and villages, whatever you prefer. Although the host family will take you on some trips, you can travel independently as the public transport system is very efficient and can get you anywhere in a short time. Most areas are within 30 minutes distance or even walking distance of your accommodation considering that Malta is only 24km x 14km and Gozo is 1/3 the size. Bus fares are very cheap. Most of them are €0.47 and direct bus fares for long distance are only €1.16. Taxis are available but not necessary.
