 Banham, United Kingdom BANHAM, Norfolk: a detached five bedroom house in 1.5 hectares of gardens. Our house is not on a bus route but we offer a taxi service to local train stations which will take you to London, Norwich and Cambridge. We spend lots of time with our students and offer visits or activities almost every day. Cambridge with its famous university is close and the historic city of Norwich is just 30 minutes away. Very close museums and theatres. We do like to be beside the seaside in quiet Bexhill. Alexandra enjoys all sorts of arts and crafts and I enjoy most sports. The Royal Pavillion, Museums, Theatres, the famous Brighton Pier and Lanes shopping quarter. There is a large Marina, Restaurants, Pubs, Cinema and Bowling. BRIGHTON, East Sussex: a large house in the north of Brighton. We are both non smokers and have two cats. Brighton is a large city on the south coast of England with much to see and do. It is only 1 hour from London by train. The student's room has a sea view and benefits from some amazing sunsets. There are day excursions possible to London and historic attractions like Leeds Castle and Beaulieu Abbey. The Downs and Beachy Head are within easy reach. The village centre has a typical English pub and a post office. Our house has a large living room a conservatory (where lessons can be given) and a family kitchen. UK BRISTOL, Avon: a Victorian house with a pleasant, private back garden. The house is a 4 minute walk from the local park. Nearby are local shops, including a small Tesco store. I live within walking distance (35 minutes)of Bristol city centre which has many shops, restaurants and tourist attractions such as the harbourside. By car or bus the city centre is only 15 minutes away. Also nearby is a new local leisure centre which has gym and swimming facilities. Bristol Templemeads main line station is a 10 minute car drive. UK BOURTON-on-the-WATER, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire: our home is an attractive, 15 year old 5-bedroom house built in Cotswold stone, set in a quiet, no through road just a few minutes walk from the beautiful village of Bourton on the Water. Bourton on the Water is known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds'. We have the river Windrush running through the village with lots of little bridges! UK DIDCOT, Oxfordshire: homestay in pleasant countryside dominated by the River Thames and the low hills of the Berkshire Downs. A rich in history and pre-historical remains such as Iron Age forts, many quaint old villages and picturesque Thames-side towns of Abingdon, Dorchester and Wallingford. Oxford, only 25 km away, offers many opportunities for sightseeing, visiting museums, galleries and the old colleges as well as shopping, whereas Reading is more for the dedicated shopper. UK EDINBURGH, Scotland: this beautiful Victorian School was converted 20 years ago into cosy private apartments and is only 10 minutes from the heart of the city. My home is warm and welcoming. You will have your own bathroom, with shower, and there is plentiful supply of hot water. UK EDINBURGH, Scotland:  there are many attractions in Edinburgh such as the Castle, Holyrood Palace, The Royal Mile along with many museums and art galleries. There are beautiful beaches and countryside on our doorstep such as East Lothian and the Borders where I could take students if they would like that. If longer excursions are required we could go to Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Perthshire.

UK ELY, Cambridgeshire: Ely is a beautiful Cathedral City situated just outside Cambridge. There is an attractive riverside area with pubs and cafes from which you can arrange boat trips, and the magnificent medieval cathedral dominates the city. Nearby Cambridge is easily accessible by train, bus or car and offers visitors an opportunity to wander around the city centre admiring the 36 colleges, which comprise Cambridge University. EXETER, Devon: my home is a quaint, traditional end of terrace cottage, just 5 minutes walk from Exeter city centre. It is in a very quiet, "pedestrian only" area of the city, with grass and trees and park areas and within a short walking distance of shops, pubs, theatres, swimming pool, sports centre, museums, cathedral, cinemas, and walks/boat/cycling trips along the River Exe. Exeter is in Devon, in the South West of England, a beautiful area of England, with lovely beaches, good climate and pretty countryside. Tutor Profile and Photos

UK HALIFAX (Luddenden), West Yorkshire: a beautifully converted 19th century Yorkshire stone 2 floor apartment complete with exposed beams, polished timber floors and all modern conveniences. Located in the conservation village of Luddenden, with its village pub and shop, in the heart of Pennines. UK LANARK (near Glasgow), Scotland: we live close to Lanark, surrounded by beautiful countryside. There is a large garden and easy access (via bus) to town centre/railway station. It is approx 45 minutes by train to Glasgow and 1.5 hours to Edinburgh by bus (although I can drive the student there in under an hour). The house itself is spacious and welcoming. UK TAVISTOCK, Devon: built in 1950, the house enjoys panoramic views over Devon and Cornwall. A short walk from Dartmoor National Park (5 minutes) and 3 minutes from the market town of Tavistock (stannary town - pop. 12000 people). On bus route to Plymouth (approx 30 minutes to Plymouth). Plymouth airport 20 minutes by bus. The student accomodation is almost a private apartment with all facilities (inc private shower; toilets etc). House has large garden. We have two dogs!
