Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
I am a warm and personable host, as is my husband, we offer a varied menu including local and organic produce. We are highly experienced entertainers and are able to offer our guests a real insight into local life and characters. We offer outstanding accommodation and a large library.

UK_(Edinburgh_Piper)175.jpgOur house is located in Dunfermline, 10 miles from Edinburgh (20 minutes by bus or train) and the historical capital of Scotland. We are just 5 minutes walk from the bus station and ten from the train station, where there are regular services into the centre of Edinburgh. Our house is one of the oldest in Dunfermline and offers incredible views across the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh Castle and the Pentland Hills. The accommodation is private and of an extremely high standard with private facilities. We are lucky enough to see all the magnificent New Year fireworks from our terrace, together with the luxury liners that dock at Rosyth. The house is situated on a quiet yet friendly residential street, at the bottom of which is the famous Carnegie Turkish baths, swimming pool and gym. Dunfermline town centre is a pretty ten minute walk and offers the Abbey & Palace ruins, large parks and innumerable local shops. We are 2 miles from the beach and the famous Coastal Paths and there are 3 Michelin-stared restaurants in the locality.

The Edinburgh Festivals run throughout August and beyond and events are easily reached from our house. Both my husband and I are experienced travellers and understand and respect the privacy of our guests. We are also able to offer a full and varied social calendar to those that wish to be immersed in their surroundings.
