BAMBERG, Bavaria: Bamberg is located in Northern Bavaria, it is one of the most romantic German cities with more than 1000 years of history: a treasure chest of architecture and living piece of history. The town has some 70,000 inhabitants, a modern university, a symphonic orchestra of worldwide reputation, many festivals and a great diversity of sport activities. The climate is quite dry, not too hot in summer, hardly anywhere else in Germany it is raining less. Mediterranean atmosphere in summertime with innumerable street cafes and beer gardens. COLOGNE: my town house is located not far from the river Rhine and the local hospital and 20 minutes from the airport in a middle- class residential area with small gardens, very quiet, you only hear the tram at intervals (I live between 2 tram stops). I have a small front garden with a cherry tree and flowers and a back garden with fruit trees, bushes and flowers to which you have access through a "Wintergarten", a glassed veranda, which in turn connects to the sitting room. The student's room is on the first floor, spacious and light. The bathroom is between this room and my study with books from floor to ceiling and a laptop with internet connection. We will share, if possible, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. (If you prefer, I can also use the basement facilities for the time of your stay.) Tutor Profile & Photos |
