Hobbies and Interests
Music (I play the flute in a band (classic and jazz), and my husband plays the percussion instruments), walking, good cooking, local history, reading, teaching methodology.

Excursions and Local Attractions
Our house is very well located as we live next to the Cévennes mountains, the Gorges de l'Ardèche, and the area Nîmes- Avignon-Montpellier. We can easily have nice walking on the Corniche des Cévennes, the Mont Bouquet, the gorges de la Cèze and the cascades du Sautadet where we can bath, or discover caves like la Grotte de la Cocalière. The patrimony is various and marvellous: the Pont du Gard of course, typical villages like St Quentin la Poterie, Uzès (and its market on Saturday mornings), Anduze. We can also discover the history of the area with the museums of the silk (St Hippolite du Fort), of the coal (mine témoin d’Alès), of the fights between catholics and protestants. We also can have fun going on the steam train of St Jean du Gard, relax at the Thermes des Fumades, discover pretty castles (château d’Allègre, de Rousson). We can go to Nïmes and visit the arenas, the Maison Carré, if it’s the period we would go to a feria, visit Avignon and the Palais des Papes.

Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
We live in a 1 hectare property, located in a wood in a typical village. We have the feeling of living in a lovely forest while we can go to the centre of the village on foot. The house is 200 m² large, open to the landscape. It's a place very quiet. The nearest town (Alès) is 5 minutes far by car (we can provide a car), bus facilities too.

Student's room and contents: the bedroom is 12 m² with a 2 places bed, a desk, a large cupboard. TV possible. Next to it is a private WC and a bathroom with all comodities (shower, bidet, bath and washbasin).

Nearest International Airport: Nîmes or Montpellier
