ARCIDOSSO (Toscana): a charming village on the slopes of Mount Amiata in a hidden corner of famous Tuscany. Here you can relax among green chestnut and beech trees, taking a bit time for yourself and at the same time learning Italian language. You will be involved in a familiar and cosy environment with me and my family (mother and sister) having individual and personalized lessons and free time. You can visit nice small tipical villages in the sourrounding area, making walks in the woods, organize horse riding tours, taste good local wine and food and above all experience a real italian context sharing everydaylife with local inhabitant of our small village. BORGOMANERO (Novara, Piemonte): the town in crossed by a small river so there are also three bridges (one is called the Painters’ Bridge for its beauty). The area surrounding the town is very beautiful. Orta and its lake are 10 km away. It is a real pearl of romanticism. The water is clean and we can have refreshing swimming in the summer. Arona, on Lake Maggiore, is 11 km away. The three islands are famous for their colours and scents. Lake of Orta and its characteristic island, Lake Maggiore where there are three wonderful islands of geographic, historical and cultural interest, Turin and Milan and their important castle, cathedral and museums. CATANZARO LIDO, Calabria Catanzaro Lido is a small town situated in Calabria in the deep south of Italy. Visit Squillace, Crotone, Stilo, Taverna, and many cities from the Greek and medieval age. Places of interest: the sea, la Sila. Calabria is the antique Magna Graecia the most famous localities to visit are: La Roccelletta, Capo Colonna, Crotone, Gerace, Locri, Tropea, Pizzo Calabro. FLORENCE (Toscana): we are a 15 minutes walk away from downtown and ten to the stadium, LeCure is surely one of the nicest Florence’s residential area. It is a pretty small borough but very lively and comfortable, all services, shops, bus stops, are 2 minutes away from my house. I like my house, it is big enough (90 square meters) and very elegantly furnished. The student's room is simple but has all facilities including fast speed internet and TV. FOSSANO (Piemonte): a small town in northern Italy, northeast of Cuneo (city), Fossano is the site of a 14th-century four-sided castle, which belonged to the princes of Acaia; its hospital and the Trinity Church were designed by Francesco Gallo in the 18th century. The town has mineral baths and is an agricultural and cattle-breeding centre. The massive castle 'Il castello degli Acaia' was built by the Acaias in the 14th century and was turned into a stately home by the Savoias in the 18th century. OMEGNA (Verbania): Verbano-Cusio-Ossola is an area between two lakes, Maggiore and Orta and surrounded by mountains. It is a tourist centre, above all during spring and summer. The Cusio environment has the kind of landscape with the basic elements that make it different from other lake areas. Lake Orta is a pre-alpine lake that transgressively flows northwards, looking towards the mountains rather than the plain. In the middle of it there is a little island called S.Giulio Island. PESCARA (Adriatic Coast): Pescara is a very new and lively city and, thanks to the university and beach, is well known as a tourist centre. Located opposite Rome, along the shores of the Adriatc sea, it is a very enjoyable and pleasant town. I am sure that, besides learning Italian, you will have a positive and unforgettable life experience. RAVENNA (Emilia Romagna): close to both Florence and Venice for cultural excursions. Near the seaside, Ravenna is the ideal place for those who also enjoy nature, with lots of leisure attractions such as windsurfing, birdwatching, cycling. The property is located in a very green area, on the top floor of a set of apartments, close to amenities and shops such as a newsagent, bakery, supermarkets, cafes, bank, pharmacy. SAN MARTINO SULLA MARRUCCINA (Abruzzi): a villa in the centre of a small town close to the Majella National Park and halfway from the mountains and the sea. It is only 20 minutes by car from Pescara (a lively and interesting city) and its airport. My house has a big garden with lots of plants and trees. It is on two levels; there are an entrance, a living room, a dining room, 2 kitchens 6 bedrooms (each one with its bathroom) and a long balcony. VENEZIA: The property is a semi-detached house, with garden and garage. It's situated in a small city without confusion and it's near Venice and Padua (30-20 minutes by train). It's in the centre of the village, so near the square, the church and gym. The room is large, with a double bed, wardrobe and TV. We have got a study with computer, internet connection, desk and lamp, bookcase. There are 2 bathrooms, kitchen, 3 bedrooms in total. There is a very luminous living-room with TV. TRIESTE (Friuli-Venezia Giulia): my three year experience of teaching Italian in English Colleges and love for people and languages has made me chose to share my home with students of Italian. By living in Trieste you will be at only one hour from Ljubljana - the romantic capital of Slovenia, the fabulous Croatian sea resorts and the Giulian Alps. A two hour train journey will take you to Venice too. I will share with you Trieste, the Adriatic sea and Carso hills, the food, fun friends and family. URBINO (Marche): Urbino has a lot to offer: from the Ducal Palace, to the house of Raffaello Sanzio, to several Oratories and churches full of great and important pieces of art. Also Urbino surroundings are worth seeing: Pesaro (Gioacchino Rossini's birth place, Gradara (the fortress of which is said to be the one where Paolo and Francesca - the famous characters in Canto V of Dante's Inferno- fell in love, Fossombrone with interesting archeological sites, Urbania ... and the enchanted landscape of this beautiful area of the region "Marche".
