Excursions and Local Attractions
Ravenna is really close to both Florence and Venice so I could take students there for cultural excursions. Moreover, being near the seaside, Ravenna is the ideal place for those who also enjoy nature, with lots of leisure attractions such as windsurfing, birdwatching, cycling.

IT-Ravenna(photo2)100.jpgAccommodation, Facilities and Local Area
The property is located in a very green area, on the top floor of a set of apartments. It is close to amenities and shops such as a newsagent, bakery, supermarkets, cafes, bank, pharmacy. It is about ten minutes far from the historical city centre, by car or bus, and about twenty minutes far from the seaside, by bus or car. Of course, living with us you will take part in our daily activities most of the time, which means we will take you places by car, unless we decide to use other means of transport such as bus or bike. The house has a large roof terrace which is really nice to enjoy, even for meals, especially in spring and summer.

The student's room is large and bright, equipped with a double bed, large wardrobe, hi fi and desk.

IT-Ravenna(stairs)100.jpgI spent my fourth year of high school in the US, joining an American family. I later decided to move from Italy to the UK to do my studies, during which I worked as an au pair and spent time within an international context. Now I am back in Italy, my hometown. I really do think that living abroad in the past helped me developing an open-mindedness that now makes me understand the needs of students coming to Italy to learn a language. I see hosting foreign students and teaching them my native language as an opportunity to meet new people and as an exchange of views on different cultures and habits. I live by myself most of the time but my mother and aunt live in the same house at times. Nevertheless, I spend a lot of time visiting my relatives - either for lunch or dinner or just for a cup of tea in the afternoon, or a walk on the beach - and my guest would therefore join me to experience our way of life and practice the language. I would prefer to welcome female students.

Nearest International Airport: Bologna
