The main programmes are: 2 weeks, 4 weeks, Summer School - 8 weeks, Semester 15 weeks and 1 year (2 semesters). All levels, no prior Russian language knowledge required.

RU-(Moscow_7)170.jpgMethodology
For our Russian Language Courses, our method is to use the combined approach of "Practical Grammar Course" and "Communicative Language Teaching". Our phylosophy is that the needs and interests of learners are considered as paramount, rather than the 'abstracted study of language itself'. The intensive Russian programme is offered at five levels: Beginner's, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate - 15 hours per week. Russian Courses take place Monday to Friday with a minimum of three 50-minute periods per day starting at 09h30.

A student's Russian language level is determined by means of a Placement Test consisting of a writing sample and oral interview. Class sizes: for Russian Speaking Practice and Conversation, requiring intensive interaction between the Russian tutor and the student, groups are limited to a maximum of five students. For Reading, Writing and some Cultural Studies there is a maximum of ten students per class.
General Russian Langauge Course: group course, 15-30 hours per week, max. 5 students/group. Basic - 15 hours per week Standard - 20 hours per week Intensive - 30 hours per week
Russian Language Combi-Programme: group course: 15-30 hours/week PLUS individual tuition: 5-10 hours/week.
Business Russian: group or individual course, 20 hours per week max. 4 students/group.
Examination Preparation Course: for students of different levels who plan to pass the examination for "Certificate of Business Russian" of Russian Chamber of Trade and Industry.
One-to-One Tuition: individual tuition, up to 40 hours per week. The most intensive and efficient way of learning Russian. On the basis of the initial Level Test and Participant's Questionnaire (given just after arrival), an individual programme is produced for each student.

RU-(Moscow3)170.jpgProgramme Content
Grammar: this is the basic course which is organised so that students' practice with the language is paramount. The texts we normally use are filled with exercises (tasks) that get students to use various structures in realistic situations.
Conversation: the focus of conversation is building fluency. In this class, students have an opportunity to talk about a variety of subjects relevant to their goals and interests, thus expanding their vocabulary.
Reading & Writing: selected materials are chosen to ensure that the students enrich their language level by using important reading skills such as skimming, scanning, identifying the main idea of the text, progressively leading the student to proficiency in writing communication.
