Diploma of Teaching completed 1981. Masters of Training and Development completed 2003. TESOL Certificate 1V completed in June 2005. 7 years teaching in Japan.

Hobbies and Interests
Beach, swimming, walks, snorkelling, sail boarding, travelling and camping, gardening, socialising, learning Japanese.

Excursions and Local Attractions
Beaches, shopping and cultural events. There are a lot of theme parks such as Sea World, Dream World, Movie World etc.

Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
I am originally from Adelaide, then spent over 7 years in Japan and moved back to Australia in January 2005. I chose the Gold Coast for its beauty and outdoor lifestyle and am absolutely loving the environment - the beach, canals, the weather, sky and nearby rainforests. I have taught English to students ranging in age from 2 to 85, including Business English, TOEIC/TOEFL, IELTs, children’s classes and specially tailored English classes.

My house is large and has a range of areas to sit; the dining and living area, as well as chairs on the veranda overlooking a beautiful canal. The table and chairs on the veranda are a perfect setting for get-togethers and barbeques on a large gas barbeque. All rooms have queen or double beds, built-in wardrobes, TVs in two rooms, linen provided and wireless internet access. The house is less than 10 minutes walk to the beach and 3 minutes to one of the largest shopping complexes on the Gold Coast - Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. You can watch the large TV or a DVD in the living room or throw a fishing line from the lawn into the canal.

My partner, Andrew, lives at Tweed Heads but often helps out around the house and takes us all on outings around the Gold Coast. He’s a kind and gentle man and also enjoys mixing with people from other countries. I enjoy the company of a wide range of people and want people to feel welcome and relaxed in my home.
