Teaching Qualifications and Experience
Teacher of Italian language for foreigners: Degree in Modern Letters. Mark: 110/110 with honors (University of Catania, Sicily). Then I took the DITALS - Certificate for Teaching Italian as a foreign language (University of Siena, Tuscany). Teacher of Italian for forigners at Catania's University, Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature in the Foreign school of Italian language and culture

Hobbies and Interests
I love music, photography, cinema: but my real hobby is cooking. I like to create food, using my creativity to blend traditional Italian ingrediants. Also I write as a free-lance journalist: above all about music, with reviews and interviews.

Excursions and Local Attractions
I live in Catania, in Sicily. So we can go in and around Catania first, then to Siracusa, vulcano Etna, Taormina, Ragusa and Val di Noto (a Unesco world Eritage site) in other parts of Sicily. Catania is a baroque city and its historical centre was declared by Unesco a World Heritage site. It is in the center of eastern Sicily, so in 2/3 hours (or less) you can get to Taormina, Siracusa, Agrigento, Etna, Ragusa Ibla: it's the beautiful part of Sicily, mixing Greek temple with the incredible sea, the Vulcano Etna and the Greek theatre with lovely countryside. Important: the international airport of Catania is just 10 minutes from the city.

Also Catania is one of the most active cities in the south of Italy with many things to do: exhibitions, parties, concerts etc etc.

Finally, the food in this part of Sicily is really good.

Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
I live in my own home in the center of Catania. Just 5 minutes walk to the historical district of the city, where the city is lively day and night.

My home has 2 floors, 2 bathrooms, and a small courtyard. On the ground floor: dining hall, lounge room, kitchen and one bathroom. On the second floor: my bedroom and the bedroom for the student with private bathroom. In this room there are: 1table, 2chairs, 1window, 1cupboard, 1bookcase, 1writing-desk, 1little TV. Air condition hot/cold in the bedroom. The bathroom just one step from the bedroom.
