We visit museums in Manhattan, attend theatre and concerts. We try to attend many of the offerings throughout New York City.

Excursions and Local Attractions
New York City, Staten Island, Times Square, Rockfeller Center, Battery Park, Chinatown, Litlle Italy and many museums in the city.

Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
Located in the Westerleigh section of Staten Island, a safe, quiet, well kept area, conveniently located near Victory Boulevard. Al is a tax manager and a CPA with a private tax practice. Janet is an educator, working part-time at CUNY College of Staten Island. In addition, she consults at two local museums. They have two children. Their son, Steven (4/14/85), is a graduate student in city planning attending CUNY Hunter College Their daughter, Joanna (3/28/89), is 20 and attending Rider University double majoring in Graphic Design and Elementary Education. Steven is a musician (drummer) and avid baseball and rugby fan. Joanna has a keen interest in the arts and design and is a figure skater and swimmer.

The family spends their free time with family and friends, visiting museums, going to Broadway and attending various other cultural and sporting events.

Students will receive a set of linens, including towels. The accommodations are in a private apartment within the home. You will have your own kitchen including utensils, pots pans, etc and a washer and dryer.  You are responsible to keep the apartment clean. The bathroom is shared with your house mate. There is wireless internet. The house is smoke free. There is a garden if you wish to smoke outside. The apartment contains 2 bedrooms each furnished with 2 twin beds.

Your host family is approximately 75 minutes from the Empire State Building.
