Athenry, County Galway, Ireland: My house is located in the beautiful West of Ireland, one mile from the historic town of Athenry. The town was founded in 1214. It has the ruins of a thirteenth century Dominician monastery and a well preserved castle from the same period. The Claren River flows through the town. The town is surrounded by and old wall and the west gate is still standing.The setting is rural, with green fields, trees and farm dwellings. My house is a bungalow and has a large front and back garden. |
