| Bath, United Kingdom: I welcome you to my comfortable home in a recently renovated Victorian house on a quiet street 15 minutes walk from beautiful Bath city centre. As I live alone, usually with a weekday lodger, the atmosphere is peaceful and I have time to ensure your stay is of maximum benefit to you, in both language and culture. When lessons are over, you can relax in your lovely bedroom (en-suite), join in my social life in the evenings and at weekends or easily explore the area on foot or by bus and train. |

Excursions and Local Attractions
Bath is a beautiful Georgian city built in wonderfully weathered stone with world famous architectural attractions such as the Abbey, the Royal Crescent and the Circus. The thriving city centre is full of independent and high street shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a wide range of museums, a large library and well-organised Tourist Office. Bath is host to a Literary Festival in early Spring and a Music Festival in early Summer, among other events. The city has an arthouse cinema as well as a multiplex and a very popular theatre with a varied programme. You can bathe in the luxurious Thermae Bath Spa, take the Skyline Walk in the surrounding hills, follow the river to pretty Bradford-upon-Avon or pedal the cycle way to Bristol. The lovely Somerset coast, Cheddar Gorge and the Cathedral town of Wells can be reached in a couple of hours and it only takes an hour and a half by train to get to London. Also available are coach tours to the Stonehenge and Avebury stone circles.
