Academia Latinoamericana de Español, founded in 1989, is one of the pioneers of modern language teaching to foreign students in South America. We have a long tradition of providing top-quality Spanish language instruction. With its four locations: Sucre, Cusco, Quito and the Cloud Forest. The Academia offers one of the finest programs of Spanish language study in Latin America, specially designed to quickly develop a working proficiency in Spanish.
The Institute

Our students participate in cultural seminars, field trips, and grammar and conversation classes. Our professors are native speakers, with university degrees in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Most of our students receive credit directly with their matriculating university. Or, students can apply for credit for Spanish courses through Alma College or the University of Southern Mississippi.

• Students’ residence: the school offers a flat share that gives you the freedom and independence of having your own space while enjoying the social benefits of living in a house with other international students. Self – catering kitchen and bathrooms are shared.

Programmes
Whether you are interested in Spanish for academic or professional purposes, or simply whish to combine study with exploring Bolivia or volunteering, you will find a course to match your needs and interests. We offer all levels of Spanish Language Proficiency available for students, families, professionals, children and we run flexible morning and afternoon classes.
Most courses can be taken on their own, or in different combinations with a variety of timetables, a choice of 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 lessons per week with the flexibility to start any day of the week.
Standard Intensive Course: 20 lessons per week.
Super Intensive Course: 30 lessons per week.
One to One: 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 lessons per week.
Active Program: 20 group or private lessons per week + 5 private activities
Immersion Program: 20 group lessons + 20 private lessons per week + 5 lunches with the teacher.
Flavors of the Andes: 20 group lessons per week + 5 lunches with the teacher.
Teen Program: 20 group lessons per week (2, 3 or 4 weeks).

The material provided is included in the fee. our students receive copies of all the material we use to teach them.
Methodology
Based on an oral and written test, you will be placed in a class according to your proficiency. you will receive structured grammar lessons, interactive conversation and written exercises. Specific homework is given daily and all our students are evaluated weekly. Our Spanish program is not only a language course, but also immersion into Bolivian culture. Group lessons have a maximun of 4 students per class with 20 hours of lessons per week.
Social and Cultural Activities
As we are part of the amazing Bolivian culture, students learn more than just Spanish. We encourage them to get involved in all of our extracurricular activities such as Salsa lessons, cooking lessons, sports, treks, visits to museums, churches, cultural shows and much more; as well as strong communication skills.
CULTURAL PROGRAMS:
A fun range of social programs are available to make your life in Sucre as exciting as possible and give you the chance to make the most out of your time in the city. Meet fellow international students, learn about life in Sucre and practice your language skills.
Social activities include events at our school, Sucre city tours, cultural and historical visits, and much more.

We own a Travel Agency and Tour Operator, we offer diferent trips all around Bolivia. We arrange trips to the most important attractions and destinations not only in Sucre but also in Bolivia: Historical Cities such as Sucre and Potosi. The satlflats in Uyuni, Nature in National Parks and Preserved Aeras and developed cities.
