Our school is located in the neighborhood of Recoleta, one of the finest in Buenos Aires.

It is an ideal location for your Spanish immersion; close by are many restaurants, bars, cafes, attractive parks, museums, movie theaters and shops. Recoleta is an upper-middle class neighborhood and is safe at all hours.

Our school building is constructed in the traditional porteño style with marble stairs, mosaic floors, a terrace and several balconies. There are 18 classrooms and several common areas with free Internet access where our students can enjoy breaks. We give out certificates and diplomas to our students. We also offer DELE preparation and test-taking in certain school locations.

We have designed our own curriculum materials based on the recommendations of El Instituto Cervantes. All of our school locations use the same curriculum to make travel amongst them seamless.

Our professors use a variety of teaching methods to best teach each and every student. We at ECELA realize that no two people learn in the same way, so lessons and teaching strategies are varied to teach all Spanish learners.

Our staff takes care of activity planning for you! Each day an activity is offered to all students, sometimes free of charge and sometimes for a nominal fee. There is an activity for all types of students, from discussion groups to horseback tours.

We have both a homestay program and a shared apartment program for our students.

Argentina is a cosmopolitan city brimming with cultural attractions and offers a wide variety of activities. Activities range from outings to salsa clubs and museum tours to overnight weekend excursions such as trips to the coast, visits to colonial villages, and outdoor adventures. Popular destinations are estancias (country ranches), Colonia, Uruguay (a short ferry ride away) and El Tigre (river plate delta). Special highlights include Argentine’s world famous soccer matches and the Tango.
