ACADEMIA DE ESPAÑOL D'AMORE offers six levels of Spanish proficiency to guarantee the student an appropriate placement. Our students range from absolute beginners to advanced speakers of the language. Classes are 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Academia de Español D'Amore also offers lessons on Spanish for specific purposes: Medical Spanish, Spanish for Business, Spanish for Teachers, and Spanish for Lawyers.

Our teachers are university trained and credentialed to teach Spanish as a second language. We give all teachers further instruction on teaching in the context of total cultural immersion. Learn more..

Group Classes: 4 lessons per day in class sizes of no more than 5 individuals. Average class size ranges from 4-8 students. During four lessons sessions (in the morning or in the afternoon), students participate actively in a small group environment. Each student is assured attention to his individual academic needs. If total immersion becomes a difficulty, we offer supplemental instruction in English once a week in order to clarify any doubts.
Private Classes: One-on-one Spanish language instruction is designed especially for people who want to progress at their own pace, work on specific vocabulary, have special needs or who have limited time available. The scheduling for these classes is similar to the Group 4 Spanish Program.

Combined Program :This is an excellent Spanish program. It allows people to study and learn Spanish in a very short period of time. In the mornings you will take the Group 4 Spanish Program. In the afternoons you will then take 2 lessons per day of private Spanish language instruction. The afternoon session can be used to reinforce what was learned in the morning or can be used to cover new Spanish language topics.

Academia de Español D'Amore gives to students a Diploma at the end of the program, also a certifate letter when needed.

Our methodology is based on the whole language immersion method of learning; therefore the professors conduct the lessons completely in Spanish. Students are suggested to participate in the homestay program designed to satisfy the fulfillment of a complete immersion in foreign language acquisition. There are course offered specific to the Medical and Legal Professions for Spanish.

A full range of activities and weekend excursions are offered as extracurricular activities not include in the cost of the program, students will need to pay for it directly.

Students are hosted in either private or shared bedrooms by carefully chosen host families from Quepos, who also act in a supervisory capacity, guided by the program's curfew. The homestay program provides two daily meals, laundry service twice a week. The host families are located in Quepos town, 15 minutes walking distance from the bus station and 15 minutes bus ride to school.

There are also cabinas, hostels, and hotels around that gives special rates to our students.

The weekend excursions include places such as the volcano Arenal, Monteverde Cloud Forest, national parks with canopy tours and zip lines. Some include an overnight hotel stay. The schedule will give the student a full experience of the natural resources of the country. This is a sample schedule and activities.
