sp-jerez(school)175.jpgThe Institute
Founded in 1982, our Spanish language school in Jerez de la Frontera Spain has over twenty years of experience teaching Spanish, organising courses at all levels from Basic to Advanced. Our recently enlarged premises in the heart of the historic centre of the city provide full facilities, including air-conditioned classrooms and a multimedia area for free access self-study sessions. Over the years we have been able to design courses which are well structured, but at the same time flexible so as to cater for the differing needs of each individual student. A placement test followed by a personal interview on arrival allows us to set individual objectives with regard to the vocabulary and structures to help you learn to speak fluent Spanish.

On all our courses the emphasis is placed upon communication, our aim being to develop conversation skills as quickly as possible, with all students having free access to our multimedia area in order to practice writing and listening skills at their own pace.

Programmes
Various general, business, and examination courses are available at the language school in Spain. The speaking skills course is 10 or 20 lessons per week. The objective is to focus upon speaking and listening skills and help the student to achieve spoken fluency. Our teaching sessions are both dynamic and practical in content. Apart from classroom tuition, additional self-study sessions in our multimedia area give students the possibility to improve reading, writing and listening skills at their own pace.

sp-jerez(plazadetorosl)175.jpgVisits and Excursions
The most attractive feature of our Spanish courses is undoubtedly the town of Jerez de la Frontera itself and its inhabitants, the Jerezanos. Not only is our Spanish school located in a very picturesque and traditional Andalusian-style city, but is also within easy reach of both the nearby Atlantic coastline and the beautiful Sierra mountainside, making it an ideal location for a language school in Spain. From Jerez you have chance to visit the ancient city of Cádiz, the Andalusian capital Seville or the beautiful mountain villages of Arcos de la Frontera, Ronda or Zahara de la Sierra. A little further down the coast are the beautiful unspoilt beaches of Tarifa and Trafalgar.

sp-jerez(cadiz)175.jpgAn additional leisure option is provided by our two local golf clubs - Sherry Golf Jerez and Montecastillo – perfect for those who wish to take advantage of our local climate with its average 290 days of sunshine each year and average winter temperatures of 10º C.

Or if you prefer, just stroll around the picturesque cobble-stoned squares, visit a sherry bodega or a flamenco peña, or better still just relax with a cool glass of sherry in the shade of a palm tree at one of the many street cafés in the historic city centre.
