The Eurolingua Institute is always looking for well-qualified, experienced, and sociable one-to-one homestay language tutors. We are seeking individuals who can provide personalised language tuition, quality full-board accommodation, and a welcoming homestay family atmosphere in their own home.
Who we are looking for
We are only considering tutors and teachers who are qualified and/or experienced in teaching their native language (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Spanish) to non-native speakers.
Our Eurolingua students range in age from 16 to 75 and come from diverse backgrounds—teenagers, business professionals, retirees, and more. They are at various levels of language proficiency, from beginners to advanced learners, and come from countries all over the world.
As a tutor, you will need to:
Meet your student guest at the nearest airport or railway station.
Provide 15, 20, 25, or 30 hours per week of individual tuition for 1 to 4 weeks. The programme is fully flexible and can take place at any time of the year.
Take your student guest on local excursions and visits.
Involve your student in all aspects of your family’s social and leisure activities.
Our clients seek an immersive linguistic and cultural experience that goes beyond classroom instruction.
Country Locations and Requirements
We are interested in tutors already living in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
Tutor Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A bright, sociable, and open-minded personality.
- A university degree or teaching diploma.
- The ability to accommodate and teach students aged 16-75.
Job Specification:
- Teach your mother tongue to international students.
- Provide 10, 15, 20, or 25 hours of instruction per week for 1-4 weeks.
- Offer lessons year-round, depending on availability.
- Organise local excursions, social events, and cultural activities.
Compensation Package:
- Tutors will receive payment in advance of the student’s arrival via bank transfer or PayPal.
- Compensation includes payment for both tuition hours and accommodation, as agreed upon in accordance with our current payment plan.
