Teaching Qualifications and Experience
I have an Honors First Degree in English, History, Geography and Latin, a Higher Diploma in Education, a Masters of Arts in Modern History and two TEFL qualifications.
I have over thirty years experience of teaching English in Ireland, Scotland, Africa, South East Asia, Canada and the Middle East. My most recent posting was in Benghazi, Libya, with Berlitz, teaching Business English to banking students.
I have taught General, Business, Technical and Medical English to Second and Third Level students both in large groups and in 1 to 1 situations.
Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy gardening, reading, outdoor pursuits, sport and travel.
Accommodation
The room is approximately four metres square. It has a large double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and internet connection. The floor is wood and the colour of the walls is light green
Excursions and Local Attractions
I live one mile from the historic town of Athenry and fifteen miles from the City of Galway. My home is within easy driving distance of Connemara, The Burren and the Cliffs of Moher, among other attractions. The setting is rural but there are good road, rail and air connections.
